Ogitech Corporation (hereafter, “our company”) recognizes that the proper protection of obtained private information and items related to privacy (hereafter, “private information etc.”) is important and strictly observes “Act on the Protection of Personal Information” and other relevant laws and regulations to handle the private information under the policy shown below.
1．Acquisition, use and provision of private information
Our company manages and handles “private information” relegated by customers on business and “private information” of our company’s employees and applicants for job of our company in a legal and appropriate method. At acquisition, use or provision of private information, our company clarifies the purpose of use and obtains the consent of customers, applicants for job, and employees (hereafter, “identical person”) and does not use it for other purpose.
(1) How to obtain the private information
When our company obtains the private information, our company clearly decides the purpose of use for customers and identical person and informs them of it or announce it and use a legal and proper method within the limit required for accomplishing the purpose. If we directly obtain the private information from customers and identical person with a written form, we create a notification to obtain the agreement of identical person.
(2) Range of use of private information
When our company uses the private information, our company uses it within the range of use that we have obtained the agreement from customers and identical person. If it is necessary to use the private information for other purpose, we will obtain the agreement of identical person for the use excluding the case allowed by laws and regulations.
(3) Outsourcing private information
Our company sometimes outsources the operation in which private information is handled partially within the use purpose range clearly indicated for customers and identical person. For the outsourcing destination, the items related to handling of private information are decided in a contract sheet etc., and we control the safety management of private information properly in a necessary manner.
(4) Restriction of provision to third party
Our company does not provide the private information of customers and identical person to third party excluding any of cases shown below.
- When an agreement of customers and identical person is obtained
- When the necessity of provision is decided by laws and regulations
- When the provision is necessary for protection of human life, body, or properties and it is difficult to obtain the agreement of customers and identical person
(5) Disclosure, correction, stop of use of private information
If disclosure of private information from customers and identical person, notification of purpose of use, disclosure, correction, stop of use etc. when the content of private information is different from the fact, and stop of provision to third party (hereafter, “disclosure etc.”) is demanded, our company responds to it within appropriate and rational period and range based on laws and regulations. For the concrete procedure for demanding disclosure etc., the “private information inquiry counter” is set up to respond to it. For the demand of disclosure or demand or notification of use purpose in the relevant demands, the charge decided by our company may be required. Please be forewarned.
2．Observation of laws and regulations / rules related to private information protection
Our company strictly observes laws and regulations related to protection of private information and byelaw / rules / guideline related to protection of private information decided by administrative agency etc. for the handling of private information.
3．Response to complaint and consultation
For complaint and consultation related to handling of private information from identical person, our company sets up “private information inquiry counter” to respond to it properly and quickly. Our company uses the private information of a person who made the inquiry only for make a reply from our company.
4．Disclosure of Information Privacy Statement
This Information Privacy Statement is disclosed internally externally of our company on our company’s website (http://ogitech.co.jp) and disclosed on other media as occasion demands.
